I have always known I wanted to be a mother. I thought I would be an amazing one. As I was growing up, I had this imaginary checklist in my head that was constantly growing: ‘I’m not going to do that as a mom… instead I would do this.’ Or ‘that’s a great idea I want to do that.’ However, no matter what you do prior, or how many classes you attend, how many nieces or nephews you have, NOTHING can prepare you for motherhood.

Here’s a bit of what 2017 looked like for us:

  1. Knixon was born
  2. My Mother-of-two journey began
  3. Both kids started to walk
  4. We turned completely Vegan
  5. We were given the knowledge of Koa’s duplicated Chromosome
  6. I learned ultimately how to forgive
  7. We’ve turned to holistic healing (acupuncture & craniosacral)
  8. Koa started sign language
  9. We decided to go against giving Knixon injections (Vaccines)
  10. Koa began speech & physical therapies
  11. Koa started Portage
  12. Hubby & I made the decision to dread our hair
  13. Girls finally had quality time with each grandparent
  14. We visited two countries in one year

Now this is what we are looking forward to in 2018:

  1. Hearing the words Mommy & Daddy
  2. Learning how to become a couple again, not just parents
  3. Having both girls sleep in their own rooms throughout the night
  4. Weaning Knixon to solids fully
  5. Continue Potty training Koa
  6. Moving into a newly bought house
  7. Minimalising
  8. Preparing, cooking and baking more with the girls
  9. Learn through more experiences
  10. Inspiring others

2017 was absolutely amazing. Everything we have all learned, I would not change any of it one bit. The main lesson I will share is: Ultimately there’s no such thing as time. It is just now. What can I do NOW. If we want a positive future, we have to make a positive action/moment right now. So we welcome you all into our life and watch us constantly learning. Try not to judge us based on your world, we are ultimately just trying to inspire based on our experiences.

Cheers to 2017 & Hello 2018.
